I have been thinking for a long time about how to portray inclusivity on our website. Our previous website used abstract illustrations to depict a range of experiences and identities.
However, I have chosen to use photography on this new version of our website to celebrate the diversity of our queer and LGBTQ+ communities. I hope this will create an environment of acceptance and understanding, and ensure that no one feels excluded.
The photographs we use are from the Adobe Stock library and were labelled ‘queer’ and/or ‘LGBTQ’. We have tried our utmost to avoid stereotypes, instead finding non-AI photographs of people who appear to be real and confident, and who are enjoying themselves.
However, as you know, choosing the right images to represent inclusivity can be tricky. If you are concerned by any of our choices in any way, or if you feel that someone is missing, please email us at hello@fourteenrockets.com.
